How to install KEYS 4.0:
I will give the instructions assuming a Dos setup. If you have Windows,
shell out to the Dos prompt or exit Windows.
1. First, make sure all of the files are accounted for.
2. Go to the root directory where Keys will be located. C:> assuming
C is the drive where you want Keys.
3. Type "MD LVCD". This should create a directory named LVCD on your
current drive.(LVCD is my abbreviation for LivecCad). KEYS_40 will
not work properly if any other directory name is used.
4. Move the KEYS file from where you unzipped them to the LVCD
directory.
5. Edit your ACAD.LSP file in your AutoCAd support directory by adding the
line in the KEYSACAD.LSP file.
6. Edit the ACAD.PGP file in your AutoCad support directory. Replace the
alias definitions with those in the KEYSACAD.PGP.
7. Start up a new drawing in AutoCad, you should see a prompt that the
KEYS 4.0 software is loaded. If not, try it again and make sure that all
the steps did occur.
If there is a problem loading KEYS, I'd be glad to help. A support number
is given to those person who register the program with me. Or I can be
reached via email at RELive on America Online. I also read the ACAD forum
on the Fidonet.
